We came home from Utah on a Saturday night. Coby had a few birthday presents waiting for him, including this telescope that we bought him. (It was cheap and really doesn't work at all :s )

Monday morning I was off to Girl's Camp! I was on the stake committee. We "camped" in air-conditioned cabins owned by the Girls Scouts. Living where it is too hot to camp has its perks! Camp was amazing and the girls had a great experience.
There was even a swimming pool at the camp site. Most of the girls didn't know how to swim. Our stake president's daughter Autumn is a life guard. She gave the girls a swim lesson.
Camping in Texas
We were camping 30 miles from the beach so we did our "hike" there. It was a beautiful day.
Three weeks into summer, I finally had my first summer days home with the kids. Pearl wanted to sew a long cape. I (who am by no means good at sewing) taught her how to pin and cut a pattern and how to use my sewing machine. I was surprised at how well she did.
She hand stitched some jewels on the bottom. She wanted it to long enough to drag on the ground.
Erupting a volcano. Coby got a volcano science experiment for his birthday.
Making lemonade.
Happy 13th anniversary to us!!
With all the traveling we had already done in June, we decided to just go to dinner to celebrate :)
We tried to do a little reading and writing each day this summer.
Summer milkshakes :) I love spending my days with these two.
A day trip to the beach with friends. A storm was looming.
It rained really hard for about 10 minutes but then cleared up, thankfully.
KC and the kids picked out a new truck while I was at girl's camp. They were SO excited about it (all 3 of them ;) This is the first truck washing. Pearl gave the truck a nice scratch with the hose :s
