July 2014 - Part I

Fun with friends at the community pool!

A trip to the San Antonio to go to the temple.

Great friends: Tavin, Kirra, and Shad

We planted a garden in the spring.  By July, everything but the carrots had died :s  We blame the heat.

Lots of pool parties at our house.

We spent a long 4th of July weekend at South Padre Island.  This weekend we found out that KC passed his oral boards!!  We were SO happy, thankful and relieved!!

KC had to work on July 3rd.  I took Pearl and Coby to Schlitterbahn water park.  We had a blast :)

Pearl loves making sand angels.

Happy 4th of July!!

The strongest man alive!!

We watched the city fireworks from the condo balcony and then did our own fireworks on the beach.  KC bought great fireworks!  Really impressive!  Pearl was crying because they were too loud.

Pearl brought her "girl scout" glasses and studied things of the sea.

We planted him and he grew!

 A Saturday afternoon nap.

Lunch at Julia's.  KC and I ate at this great restaurant the
first time we visited South Texas.  It is one of our favorites.

Making watermelon balls.

Fight! Fight! Coby had A LOT of energy this summer.
If we didn't keep him busy, he would inevitably begin wrestling Pearl.
Yes, he is wearing pajamas and cowboy boots.

Coby, Pearl, and Pearl's friend Tatiana took ice skating lessons for a week in July.  I think we will make this a summer tradition.  A fun, active, cool activity to do during the hot summer.

Fishing at a park in McAllen.  We didn't catch a thing :(

Baby Anna (Pearl's favorite toy since birth) was lost for over a month this summer.  I was organizing my closet and found her in a carry-on bag from our trip to California.  We were so relieved!!

An afternoon at Jump and Bounce.

Lemonade and cookies for sale!  I texted one lady in our ward that lives nearby and told her that Pearl and Coby were outside selling lemonade.  She spread the word and a lot of ward families came by...so sweet of them!  We sold out of cookies and lemonade and made about $20!  They were SO excited.

So good to have Anna back ;)
