December 2012

We had people over for apple pie and to watch                     Coby in his Green Bay Packer's jersey
the First Presidency Christmas Devotional.                          that he got from his cousin Camden.

Some NICE December weather.  80's and 90's

Pony rides at a birthday party for a girl in the neighborhood.

We finally took down Coby's crib.  Coby and I both shed a few tears as we disassembled it.
He slept in that crib for 3 1/2 years!  He now sleeps on the trundle in Pearl's room.

KC's work Christmas party.
One of the doctors brought
hats for us all to wear :s

KC took Pearl on a date to watch Sharyland High School perform Beauty and the Beast.  I took Coby to his favorite place, the carnival :)

Pearly before her Lynn Flower's Preschool Christmas Concert.

Caroling at a nursing home with the YM/YW and Activity Days...
and a Christmas party with some of Pearl's friends from preschool.

Getting presents ready to give for the 12 Days of Christmas.  We made "secret" deliveries to some neighbors and some people in the ward.  For most of the deliveries, Pearl and Coby disguised themselves...

Primary was in charge of our ward Christmas party.  As usual, I didn't have a chance to take many pictures.  :s  But a quick shot as the party was getting started and one of the primary singing
Silent Night.  The theme of the party was "A Night in Bethlehem."

Santa at the mall :)  Pearl spent quite a bit of time this month comparing the Santas in all of the different pictures we have of him ;)  She decided that in some his beard isn't as white because he didn't take a bath that day.
Coby kept my present (a freezer) a secret for half of one day ;)

More beautiful weather.

Coby pretending to be Elfy (our Elf on the Shelf).  I will have to wait until next Christmas to get a picture of the real Elfy.  And Pearl and Coby looking for Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve.

We spent Christmas Eve with just our little family.  We had the traditional Jerusalem supper.  Pearl ate every bit of food on her plate...after all, Santa was on his way, wasn't he?

We popped popcorn, read stories, and left cookies and this note from Pearl to Santa:

Christmas morning!!                                                 Cookies left by Elfy.

The race car was their favorite Christmas present.
This picture was taken at 7:00 a.m. Christmas morning.

Snow cones on Christmas day and a much needed Christmas nap.

The last weekend in December we headed to San Antonio and visited Sea World again.  Far less crowded than in September, but a little chilly as well.

Coby got a penguin at Sea World to go with his penguin blanky.

Before a New Year's Eve party with some friends.
