Above, Pearly painting a birdhouse :) Below, Pearl listening to music on my ipod. She LOVES music and will stand there and play the same song over and over if she likes it ;)
Coby "practicing" with his goggles in the bathtub.
KC ran a 5-K at South Padre Island with one of his friends. It was "The Jailbreak" and had lots of obstacles along the way. Can you see him below in the red shirt? The race looked really fun but alas, my feet would not allow me to run...but I couldn't complain about playing with the kids on the beach either :)
My parents came to stay with us for a week in May. I got to be with my Mom on Mother's Day!!
Baby Anna gave Pearl a Mother's Day present. Pearl was thrilled and so surprised :)
We headed to the beach again with my parents where we had the family pictures in my last post taken. My dad took this cool picture of KC and Coby on a sand dune while the sun was setting, just after family pictures.
The next day we went to Schlitterbahn Water Park. I love that place. We had a blast. :)
Milkshakes at Dairy Queen on the way home from the island.
An evening at the community pool.
Another outing for ice cream. (My dad is an ice cream junky ;)
Lots of fun being spoiled with attention, of course :)
Before my parents left, we had an early pirate birthday party for Coby. (He turned 3 on June 3.) My mom helped me make him this pirate ship cake.My dad made a treasure hunt for Pearl and Coby. He hid gold coins and a treasure chest in the backyard and even drew them a map.
Coby never tired of slicing KC with his sword and drawing "blood."
We made a trip to San Antonio to go to the temple. This trip we kid-swapped with another couple so we could go to a temple session together. The kids in the photo below are ages 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. They got such a kick out that and kept lining up in order (except the 1-yr-old of course, he didn't care :).
KC PASSED HIS BOARDS!!!!
YAY!!! We were SO happy!!
The day we found out that he passed, the kids and I dressed up and surprised KC with a celebratory dinner out.
They had a blast getting fancied up, and even put on cologne and perfume for the occasion.
Hooray for Daddy!!! Since he is now a board-certified ophthalmologist, he can become a partner at the private practice where he works. So proud of him!!

Your kids are so stinkin' cute... I can't believe Coby is 3!! Where does the time go? I love your swimming suit! Where did you get it? And congrats to KC!! That's awesome. You guys have cleared some major hurdles... now hopefully you get to enjoy the fruits of your labors! So looking forward to our weekend in August! Can't wait to see you!
