I need to work on changing my blog background because it is off centered and hideous but I can't remember how...one day I'll mess with it. Anyway, February was a lot of fun.
We did a 2-mile fun run!
Coby ran half the race and rode half the race.
Pearl ran the whole way. It helped that her best friend Kirra was there.
They talked non-stop as they ran ;)
At the end of the race they were proud of themselves. Coby said several times how he beat Pearl. When we could see the finish line, he got off of KC's shoulders and sprinted past an exhausted Pearl to the end. Haha.
Caramel apples for FHE one night.
Coby had been asking to make them for months and we finally did it.
Taking Pearl to school and playing with Isaac. February had a lot of cold days, and even got down into the 30's a few times! It has been fun to wear long sleeves several days this winter.
School lunch with Pearl. Every morning she begs me to come eat lunch with her :)
Tiling the pool and hot tub!
Pop rocks are awesome.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
My parents came to visit for a week. So fun!!
Valentine's dinner at La Fogata. Mexican food and mariachis...was a good night. :)
A park and a lake right on the border of Mexico.
The weather was beautiful the whole week my parents were here.
We took my parents to a stake couple's fireside and dance while they were here. There were only about 10 of us at the fireside, but plenty made it out to the dance! Mostly Mexican music which I expected but my parents found funny ;)
Pearly played in her first piano recital. She played Call of the Horn and Christopher Columbus. She memorized them and played them perfectly at the recital. I was proud of her (and of myself ;) for putting in lots of practice time.
Scooter riding at the park.
Pedicure outing for the girls.
Basketball court complete and hoop installed!
The day Pearl stayed home "sick" from school.
Coby's St Jude trike-a-thon at preschool. He was the only one who didn't keep riding for the entire time. He started to cry and told me he was hot so I let him quit. He doesn't have a lot of stamina. :s We all probably need more physical activity at our house :s
By the end of the week with Grandma and Grandpa, nobody wanted to sit with KC and me at the restaurant. That's how it usually goes ;)
Travertine laid! Just a few weeks away from completion.
The hoop can be lowered to a nice level for Pearl and Coby.

I SWEAR, your parents just DON'T AGE! They still look better than ever! I LOVE how the backyard is coming along! Before long you'll have 2 basketball stars and Olympic swimmers on your hands! I LOVE the blue tile on the pool...So, pretty! I LOVE that you have the 12 apostles on the wall. That's a good idea! It would help me remember who's who too! Hope you are enjoying the spring heat before it gets HOTTER than Hell! ;) Luckily the pool will be your saving grace! XOXO!! Miss you!
ReplyDeleteI want to come to your house and swim in your pool and play basketball. That looks awesome. It seems like your parents are always going out there! When will you be in Utah next? I'm going to be there in November… with the whole crew!
ReplyDeleteWe will be in Utah in November too, the week of Thanksgiving. See ya there ;)
