Grandpa and Grandma came to visit!! Nothing better than playing legos with Grandpa. :) We ate lunch at school with Pearl a few times that week.
Coby got a pedicure with Grandma and me. He liked the zebra pillow.
Aunt Val and Blake came down from Austin to visit us. They had never been to South Padre Island. A very windy day!
Getting fishing gear ready with Grandpa. They fished in a canal close by.
PEARLY TURNS 6!!
We had planned to have her party at the carnival that was in town. We invited her church class and school class. We all showed up at the carnival to find that it was closed! Super embarrassing. Instead we went next door to Chucky E Cheese. Pearl had originally wanted a Chuck E Cheese party, so she was thrilled! It was all a little chaotic but I think the kids had fun. I didn't get a shot of the whole group but here is Pearl with a few school friends.
Coby is serious when it comes to tickets at Chuck E Cheese. He knows all the games that give a lot of tickets so he plays them over and over.
One morning we found three little baby ducks in our front yard.
We played with them a while and eventually returned them to the pond.
My dad took Coby to Home Depot and they came home with tools and boards. Coby was in heaven of course. My dad taught him how to safely use a saw. :s Keep in mind that Coby is 4. :s :s
Fun at the park with Grandma.
Happy Birthday Grandpa!!
Our good friend Jay Calma was baptized in November. (His wife and two kids were baptized three years ago.) It was such a great day! He was the first person to be baptized in our new church building. A week later we took them to the San Antonio temple and he did baptisms for his ancestors. An awesome week.
Pearl really wanted to buy a sparkly red Christmas dress before we visited Santa at the mall.
Thanksgiving was so late this year that we decorated the house and made gingerbread cookies before Thanksgiving. So many fun things to do at Christmas time, it was good to get a head start!
Isaac and Coby playing after preschool
Spent an evening making gingerbread houses.
Pearl and her friend Tatiana at computer lab at school.
Coby with friends at yet another Chuck E Cheese bday party.
We flew the direct Allegiant flight to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. We arrived at our hotel at 2:00 a.m. our time. :s Allegiant has direct flights to Vegas but the flight times are never optimal.
Thanksgiving morning we drove to St. George to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We got to meet Mindy's cute baby, Clayton Langford, for the first time :) Pearl and Coby LOVE their cousins!!
The fabulous four making turkeys.
We visited Granny (KC's grandma) in Cedar City. We were surprised to see a little snow on the ground!! Pearl and Coby are constantly talking about snow so they were super excited. Below is Pearl's snowman. ;)
Warming their feet by a real fire in a real fireplace!
We went to Tuachan theater in St. George and saw a live nativity.
Grandpa is popular with the grandkids. :) Probably because he tells them stories of orca-cat-bats and takes them to caves to fight dragons with swords.
Hiking in St. George. Beautiful!!

It was a quick trip to Utah (we flew home Sunday), but we had so much fun.
