KC Spent many hours studying for his board test that was on March 27th. Pearl, Coby and I carried on as usual. Above we are doing pedicures while watching The Sound of Music. I hope Coby isn't getting permanently damaged by all of our girly activities. :s He loves pedicures though. You can see him holding his only toenail polish option in his hand: clear :)
KC went to San Antonio, TX for one week for a study course before his big test. We were ALL so happy to have him home again. He is reading them The Lorax, that he brought home to them as a surprise.
The evening KC got home we went out to dinner and Pearl and Coby both insisted on sitting on daddy's side of the table. Fine by me :)
That same evening was Pearl's first dance recital. She took a little 5-week ballet class at the community center. I was surprised they put on a recital after a 5-week class! It was really cute though. Pearl was so excited. She was the tallest little dancer in her group, and the only white girl. Above is her waiting to go on stage.
She LOVED her dance recital. We will have to sign her up again for dance. She tried so hard at all the little classes (parents couldn't stay in the class but there was a window where we could watch them :) We also made it down to San Antonio this month to go to the temple there. (No pictures of this either :s) It was a LONG day, we drove 4 hours there, spent 4 hours at the temple, and drove 4 hours home. It was good to visit the temple, but oh how we miss our Lubbock temple that was just minutes away!! The worst part of the trip happened at the very beginning. Coby was eating frosted mini-wheats in his car seat, choked on one, and then threw up all over. Remember that this was at the beginning of the trip, so the car smelled the throw-up the whole rest of the day. :s
It always surprises me what Coby and Pearl choose to sleep with. Below Coby is asleep holding Pearl's hair brush.
Sometimes at the end of the day I wonder how there can possibly be so many toys everywhere!! Then I play back the day in my mind and remember many moments like this one and I know why the house is so messy: Here Pearl has left a trail of food from her bedroom to the backyard, in hopes of leading the witch to the dungeon (outside).
Above Pearl and Coby are playing with worms they found outside. :s Of course they were pleased with themselves for grossing me out.
For family home evening we did the classic "Faith is like a Seed" lesson (Alma 32). They were so excited to plant flower seeds in their own little planter boxes. Pearl put Pearl and Coby signs in them so we wouldn't forget who they belonged to :) It only took a few days for their seeds to sprout. When Coby saw his sprouted seeds he said "They must have been good seeds Daddy!!" He was actually listening to the lesson! :)
Love the Pedicures!
