Christmas in Utah

KC was able to get several days off for Christmas this year so we decided to make the long road- trip to Utah. The journey began well...
Then we hit snow and were actually stopped at one point in Colorado for quite some time as they were trying to clear all the wrecks from the road. The kids were thrilled to be released from their car seats!!

After 16 hours travel time, we arrived in Price, Utah. We spent five nights (including Christmas Eve and Christmas) with the Bentley family.

Then we drove to St. George and spent the next 5 nights with the Mays family and had a 2nd Christmas.
Pearl really enjoyed Christmas this year. She swam in the wrapping paper...

She helped Gram make a cake... And made juice in the juicer with Grandpa.

Coby had fun in Utah as well. He went swimming for his first time!! (Pictured here with cousin Caroline who is 5 weeks older than him.)

And got to meet his namesake, Great-Uncle Coby. Do you think he will inherit some of his height?

We left St. George on New Year's Day and headed back home. We took an unexpected journey through Zion's National Park (Oops! We missed a turn somewhere!). It was very beautiful but did add some time to our journey. After another 16-hour trip, we arrived home. It was great trip over all and we had fun getting to see all of our family in Utah!!

  1. Such cute pictures of Christmas!!! It was so wonderful to see you guys, and we are missing you sorely already :). I think you have a couple of angels for children for you to be able to drive as much as you did, and for them to do as well as they did!! They are such cuties! Love you!
